Professor Rapoport Albert is a Fellow at the Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies. She is the author of Women and the Messianic Heresy of Sabbatai Zevi, 1666-1816 (Oxford: Littman Library of Jewish Civilization, 2011), and of the forthcoming Female Bodies – Male Souls: Asceticism, Mysticism and Gender in the Jewish Tradition, (Oxford: Littman Library of Jewish Civilization, forthcoming).
