Daniel Weidner is Professor of Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, and Associate Director of the Center for Literary and Cultural Studies in Berlin (ZfL). He works in the fields of Philosophy, Literature, and Religious Studies. He is the author of Gershom Scholem: Politisches, esoterisches und historiographisches Schreiben (2003), Bibel und Literatur um 1800 (2011), as well as numerous publications in German-Jewish studies. Weidner has taught at Harvard, Stanford, and many other institutions, and is currently Visiting Professor at Yale University.
