Israeli Author Esty G. Hayim: "I Have No Mother Tongue, Just a Language I Adopted as a Home"

Esty G. Hayim, the Israeli author, dancer and actress came of age in the city of Haifa. A daughter of Holocaust survivors, many of her works revolve around Holocaust memories using her seaside home town as backdrop. To date, she has published five novels and numerous short stories. Her books have been widely praised  in the Israeli press. She is the recipient of multiple awards including the prestigious Prime Minister`s Prize (2002) and the Haaretz Short Story Prize. At present, she teaches creative writing at Seminar Hakibutzim College and is a literary reviewer for Hebrew newspapers. Her latest novel, Corner People, will appear in English in 2015.
